A Tesla Cybertruck crashed into the sign marking the entrance to the legendary Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunday night, prompting Elon Musk to post about the incident on X, formerly Twitter.
The massive stainless steel giant crashed into the sign around 11:45 p.m. Sunday after colliding with another vehicle, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department.

Musk was responding to a widely reported claim that a valet at the Beverly Hills Hotel smashed the truck, which later turned out to be a prank by User X.
The Beverly Hills Police Department had no information Monday afternoon about any injuries or damage resulting from the incident.
A video posted online showed that the truck suffered severe damage to the front left wheel. The truck also destroyed the poles holding the sign, as well as the pink sidewalk wall in front of it, according to photos from the scene.
“No employee or member of our valet team was involved in the incident,” said Brittany Williams, director of communications for the Dorchester Collection, which operates the hotel.
