After several days of sun, Los Angeles County is expected to see mostly cloudy skies and light rain this week, according to weather forecasts.
There is a chance of rain late Monday into early Tuesday, but rain is expected to reach a quarter inch or less, National Weather Service meteorologist Mike Wofford said.
“It should be a little weaker than most of the storms we've seen recently. No major impacts are expected with it,” Wofford said.
Temperatures are expected to be in the 50s to 60s for most of the week, according to the weather service.
The area is expected to see some sunny skies on Wednesday and Thursday before a stronger storm hits on Friday, with temperatures dropping into the 50s over the weekend. Saturday is expected to remain mostly cloudy with a 40% chance of rain in the Los Angeles County area.
The Santa Monica Mountains, Hollywood Hills and foothills of Palos Verdes will be most vulnerable to landslides, but the risk will not be as great as it was earlier this month, when monster storms hit the area, Wofford said.
