BYD has teased its upcoming electric pickup truck, which the Chinese auto giant said it will launch in 2024.

BYD The company plans to launch its first electric pickup truck this year, as the Chinese giant works to increase competition with global car companies, from Ford to Tesla.
The mid-sized to large pickup truck was developed for the global market, BYD said in a press release.
BYD showed off images of the truck covered in orange and blue camouflage, with very little visible detail inside or outside the vehicle. The selling price of the car was not revealed.
The pickup truck will look to compete with the likes of stronghold Ranger and F-150 Lightning Toyota Hilux, and Tesla Cybertruck.
The truck will add to the company's vehicle lineup, which starts with the Seagull at 69,800 yuan — or just under $10,000 — all the way up to the U9 supercar worth 1.68 million yuan.
BYD does not sell its products in the United States, the most popular market for pickup trucks, but it has a presence in other popular markets for this type of vehicle, including Thailand.
